As part of their ongoing work with the Royal College of Music, Rena and Sandro attended a fabulous concert at Windsor Castle, in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales.
8th May 2019 - Rena and Ivan launch latest book
On 8th May 2019, Rena and Ivan Lindsay launched their latest book - Soviet Women and their Art: The Spirit of Equality, which can be bought through this website. This new publication provides a cross-disciplinary examination of early 20th century feminism and gender politics in the Soviet Union in relation to the rise and development of prominent female artists and sculptors. The book covers the period from the end of WWI and pre-Revolutionary Russia to Gorbachev’s perestroika and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. It consists of a collection of essays by leading specialists in the field, academics and independent scholars, covering major events in Soviet history, art and culture and exploring the role of women in society, the representation of women in art, and discussing the oeuvre and artistic practices of Soviet female artists.

On 6th March 2019, Rena Lavery received Honorary Membership of the Royal College of Music, presented to her by HRH The Prince of Wales, President of the RCM. Rena and her husband, Sandro, are Founding Patrons of the More Music: Reimagining the Royal College of Music Campaign.

On 5th June 2018, Russian Art + Culture in conjunction with Unicorn Publishing hosted a Private VIP reception at Hatchards in Piccadilly for the launch of Rena Lavery and Ivan Lindsay's latest book: Art of the Soviet Union. Art Russe and Lord Montagu of Beaulieu have agreed to house a permanent exhibition at Beaulieu. The exhibitions are thematic and will change at least twice a year.
